Dr Abdullahi Ganduje of APC emerges the winner of the governorship election in Kano.

The ruling All Progressive Congress APC has been declared the winner of the governorship election in Kano state with a gap of 8,982 votes ahead of their opposition party Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

In the result which was declared by the Kano Returning Officer of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof B B Shehu, APC polled 1,033,695 while the PDP got 1,024,713 votes out of a total of 2,269,305 accredited Voters in the state.

The incumbent governor Dr Abdullahi Ganduje of the APC has been therefore declared the winner of the governorship election in Kano.

A total of 50,861 votes were declared as rejected in the whole exercise due to violence and over-voting. However, the collation center was heated up by agents of some parties including the PDP who wanted INEC to address the irregularities that marred the election before declaring the result which INEC declined.

21 year old Boy Commits Suicide After a Surgery On His Testicles Left Him Impotent

Two Nurses allegedly sells a new born baby for N350k in Lagos State

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two nurses working at Trinity Clinic, Meiran, Lagos, for selling a woman’s baby and deceiving her that she had a stillbirth (a dead child).

Reports showed that the nurses, Mrs. Marbel Onochel and Dorcas Omitogun, allegedly sold the baby for N350,000 to Mrs. Helen Okoh, a resident of Ajah in Lagos. The police have also arrested her, The Nation reports.


The suspects were alleged to have told the baby’s parents that it died and they buried the stillborn to save the family the trauma.

Besides allegedly engaging in child theft and trafficking, it was learnt that Onochel, a Delta State indigene, also ran an illegal traditional hospital at Meiran.

Trouble, however, reportedly started after the woman’s family insisted that they wanted to see the body, but the suspects could not provide the body.

The Nation gathered that when the family insisted on seeing the body, the nurses said that the baby’s head was bad, prompting the family to report at the police station.

It was learnt that the suspects were arrested and during investigation, they confessed to have sold the baby to Mrs. Okoh.

It was gathered that Onochel kept N250,000 from the sale and gave Omitogun N100,000.

During interrogation, the woman who bought the baby said she was desperate for a child because she was unable to conceive, as she had fibroid.

Confirming their arrest, police spokesman Bala Elkana, a Deputy Superintendent (DSP), told The Nation that the baby had been recovered from the buyer.

He said: “We have recovered the baby, arrested the woman who bought the baby and the two nurses who conspired and sold the baby. The suspects will be charged to court.”

Singer shoots himself dead accidentally on music video set

Rising American country singer, Justin Carter, has accidentally killed himself while filming a music video.

The 35-year-old Texan was shooting a music video at his apartment in Houston on Saturday when a real gun was mistaken for a prop.


According to reports, Carter shot himself with a gun meant for the video shoot of one of his records.

The 35-year-old rising star reportedly passed from the gunshot wound which occurred while he was filming in his apartment.

Cindy McClellan, Cater’s mom speaking on the freak accident said a gun the singer had in his pocket “went off and caught my son in the corner of his eye.”

Speaking with ABC 13, McClellan said:

‘His music was his world. He was always there for everybody.’

He signed a new deal with Mark Atherton of Triple Threat Management days before his death. He now plans to release all the music Carter has recorded and hand over the proceeds from sales to his family.

Final year FUNAAB student gets engaged by her boyfriend during her sign-out shenanigans (Video)

A final year student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta ended her stay in the school in a very amazing manner, after her boyfriend knelt down and to make a proposal to her.

The beautiful lady, said to be a student of the department of Biochemistry was having the normal sign-out event after her final paper with the rest of her colleagues when her boyfriend came to give her the shock of her of life.


In the midst of her colleagues and other students, the gentleman bent the knee and popped the question – the gesture was followed by loud screams and chanting by ladies, asking her to “say yes”.

Emilia Clark Narrates how she nearly died during the shooting of Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones star, Emilia Clark has revealed how she almost died while filming the HBO hit series. According to the lady who stars as Daenerys Targaryen the mother of dragons, the problem started in 2011 when they just finished wrapping up season one of the series.

She said she felt a slight headache then her condition rapidly declined.

“For a few moments, I tried to will away the pain and the nausea,” she wrote in The New Yorker. “I said to myself, ‘I will not be paralysed’.

“I moved my fingers and toes to make sure that was true. To keep my memory alive, I tried to recall, among other things, some lines from Game of Thrones.

Rushed to hospital, a brain scan revealed Emilia Clark was suffering from a subarachnoid haemorrhage, a life-threatening type of stroke. After going through her surgery, she said woke up in immense pain.

“I had no idea where I was. My field of vision was constricted. There was a tube down my throat and I was parched and nauseated.”

Medical personnel who checked on her said when she was asked to say her name, all that came out of her mouth was gibberish. She was diagnosed with Aphasia, an inability to speak, which plunged Emilia into a fear she may never be able to speak for the rest of her life.

“In my worst moments, I wanted to pull the plug. I asked the medical staff to let me die,” she said. “My job-my entire dream of what my life would be-centred on language, on communication. Without that, I was lost.”

A surgery was done on her which solved the problem but left a scar from her scalp to her ear which can rarely be seen.

She said:

“After keeping quiet all these years, I’m telling you the truth in full. Please believe me: I know that I am hardly unique, hardly alone.

“In the years since my second surgery I have healed beyond my most unreasonable hopes. I am now at a hundred per cent.”

MOUAU student fights girlfriend in front of schoolmates over ₦20K (video)

A student of Michael Okpara University Of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia state, was filmed openly beating up  his girlfriend over #20,000 naira.

According to Reports on social media, the girlfriend named, Jane, broke up with the boyfriend and he didn't take it slightly with her, considering the fact that he had spent so much money on her and allegedly once paid her school fees. He stormed her class to request for his money back and it quickly escalated

In a video shared online, the man can be seen battering the girl in front of their schoolmates. As seen from the video he was slapping her at some point as he said, "Jane, where is my money."

Some students stepped in and tried to intervene but the boyfriend stood his ground and continued the assault.
