Serena Williams Disqualified From Australian Open Competition (PHOTOS)

Tennis star, Serena Williams has been knocked out of the Australian open competition. This happened following her defeat to Czech star Karolina Pliskova in the quarterfinals match on Wednesday.

The 37-year-old star was up 5-1, 40-30 in the third arrangement of their match when she had a lower leg problem. Moreover, she completed the challenge and lost to Pliskova in the long run, the No. 7 seed in the competition. Pliskova won the match 4-6, 6-1, 7-5 to progress to the Australian Open elimination phase against Naomi Osaka.

“I can't say that I choked on those match points," Williams said afterward. "She literally played her best tennis ever on those shots.”

Williams, who didn’t call for a trainer when she appeared to injure her ankle, said after the match that it “seems to be fine.”

She will feel chosen, loved…and that, sir, is VERY romantic indeed.

The kind of activity you choose to engage in with the lady that you want to think of you as romantic doesn't matter at all. All that matters is for you to be completely involved physically and mentally in the activity and not staring off into space or obviously just wishing it were over so you could go do what you really want to do. It is you trying to be romantic so focus on the project at hand.

As you have seen now that it is very easy to make romantic moments. Just with thinking and planning, the best remarkable romantic moments can happy daily and at the most unexpected time. There should be no absolute reason not to make a romantic moment happen at every little opportunity you have because being romantic as a man is a win/win situation. So get out there and prove to your woman you can be romatic...*winks*.

" I think people unfairly judged Wiz and a lot of them were a little bit too harsh on him for missing the wedding. Many people forget that around the time of my traditional wedding was also when One Africa Music Fest was going on in Dubai. So, there were many other artistes at the event, who were struggling trying to make it back to catch up with the wedding. 

In fact, Tiwa Savage had to take the last available economy seat in the plane, even though she had an upper-class ticket for a few days later, just to get her back in time for my wedding. So, it wasn’t just Wizkid that missed it, a lot of people who were at the concert did. Either way, people should know that the relationship between Wizkid and I is deeper than any fame or fortune. ASUU STRIKE UPDATE: ASUU meets FG and Reaches Agreement, FG Releases N15.4bn For Salary Shortfalls

After Monday's evening meeting in abuja, addressing journalist the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, said the majority of their demands have been met including the release of N15.4 billion for payment of salary shortfalls.

He said also that the Federal Government would be releasing another sum of 20bn for payment of earned allowances for university lecturers.

Whereas, professor biodun ogunyemi, the ASUU chairman said the National Executive Committee( NEC) of the union will review their decisions based on the new commitment by the government.

Scores consumed to death as tanker catches fire in Lagos

Several people have been comfirmed dead after a fuel tanker exploded on Odo-Iyaalaro Bridge inward Maryland in Lagos.

Reports from the guardian revealed that, the accident has caused significant gridlock around the axis, while the number of casualties and cause of fire couldn't be found out.
