Facebook user Abdulrahman Abdulafeez Gomith shared a post of a young man whose hand was cut off while he was attempting to steal a phone.

From his post, he allegedly tried to pick the phone through the window of the owner's house, not knowing that the owner was inside, waiting for him to stretch his hand further.  And unluckily for him, the owner eventually chop his hand off.

More than 100 people strip naked in front of Facebook's New York headquarters

More than 100 individuals stripped naked before Facebook's New York base camp on Sunday, as a major aspect of dissent against what they see as a restriction in regards to Facebook and Instagram's approaches around creative bareness.

Chronic kidney disease progresses in stages. If it remains untreated, it can lead to complete loss of kidney function. At chronic kidney disease stage five, when both kidneys fail completely, the only options for survival are dialysis or a kidney transplant. People with chronic kidney disease may not experience symptoms in the early stages of the disease, thus slowing its effects.

This disease affects people of all ages, however, individuals over 60 have a higher chance of getting the disease. 10% of the population worldwide is affected by chronic kidney disease and millions die annually due to the lack of access to affordable treatment. Chronic kidney disease is a worldwide health crisis. For example, in the year 2005, there were approximately 58 million deaths worldwide, with 35 million attributed to chronic disease, according to the World Health Organization. The disease is described as chronic for a reason.

Kidney Disease Causes

In order to treat a disease, it is important to know the cause of this disease. Kidney disease causes differ across individuals, however, there is a group of likely causes. Patients just have to find out which shoe is more likely to fit based on their lifestyle and work towards it.

Loss of blood flow in the kidneys

The loss of blood flow in the kidneys can cause kidney failure. The loss of blood flow is not random and can be caused by other conditions which include, a heart attack, scarring of the liver or liver failure, dehydration, heart disease, allergic reaction, severe infection or severe burn.

Problems urinating.

The inability to urinate will cause a build-up of toxins in the kidney, leading to an overload. Various cancers are capable of blocking the urinary channels. Other things that can affect urination are kidney stones, an enlarged prostate, damage to the nerves that control the bladder and blood clots within the urinary tract.

There are so many other kidney disease causes which are not classified under a major break down. These causes stem from lifestyle choices and overall bodily health and care. They include; a blood clot within and/or around your kidneys, infection, toxin overload from heavy metals, excessive drugs and alcohol, inflamed blood vessels. Autoimmune diseases like lupus nephritis can cause inflammation of many body organs, including the kidney. Glomerulonephritis, an inflammation of the small blood vessels of the kidneys, can also cause kidney disease. Haemolytic uremic syndrome, which involves the breakdown of red blood cells following a bacterial infection, usually of the intestines, multiple myeloma, a cancer of the plasma cells in your bone marrow, thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura, a disorder that causes blood clots in small vessels, chemotherapy drugs, medications that treat cancer and some autoimmune diseases, dyes used in some imaging tests, certain antibiotics, uncontrolled diabetes and vasculitis.

Kidney Disease Symptoms

Kidney disease symptoms are usually subtle. Numerous people do not experience symptoms at all. Symptoms are warning signs of a condition. Knowing these symptoms will help you take a step in the right direction and commence treatments early enough if need be. when experiencing one or more symptoms, it is best you see your doctor and undergo urinalysis and other necessary tests. Star footballer Neymar has denied the rape accusations n Paris, calling the situation a "set up" and an extortion attempt against him.

According to a Sao Paulo police report, an unidentified woman alleged that the 27-year-old Brazil forward had drunkenly assaulted her last month at an upmarket hotel in the French capital, where he plays for the Paris Saint-Germain Club.

In a video he posted on his Instagram account on Sunday, the star dismissed the claims, while revealing several erotic photos and texts exchanged with the accuser on WhatsApp.

"I'm accused of rape. It is a 'heavy' word, it is something very strong, but that's what's happening now," he said.

"I was caught by surprise, it was very bad and very sad to listen to that, because anyone who knows me, knows of my behaviour, knows that I would never do something like that."

The abnormal use of a thing is what is referred to as abuse. It is unfortunate that many people abuse themselves in different ways.

For example, it is an abnormal use of the body and mind when one works, works and works without taking time to rest, all in a bid to maximize earnings or turnover. If you know how precious you are, you will not burn the candle of your life from both ends. Today, in 1st Corinthians 6:15, the Holy Spirit is asking you whether or not you realise that your body is a part of Christ. In other words, even the body we call ours actually belongs to Jesus Christ. This tells you how precious we are in the sight of the Lord. As children of God, we are so unique! That we are joined to God in one spirit should gladden our hearts and make us shun any form of defilement. No wonder the Psalmist says in Psalm 139:14:

“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”

When we abuse our body, we are actually trampling under our feet a precious pearl the Lord gave to us, not only because we are created in His own image but also because He paid a high price to redeem us from the curse of sin and death. We are even much more precious than the first Adam, for we are bought with a price that cannot be valued.

Our Lord has called us out from darkness into the marvellous light of holiness, prosperity and great deliverance from the power of sin and Satan. We must therefore glorify God in our body and in our spirit man. We are like the beloved wife of a king. The queen does not comport herself in ways that would bring ridicule to the royal family, her husband particularly. Moreover, a queen does not tell lies because she has integrity. Sleeping around is a ridiculous thing to do as a Christian. Even if you are not married to any person, you are joined to Jesus Christ, who is the Husband of the Church. Beloved, do you know you are more valuable to God than angels?

The Bible says you will even judge angels (1st Corinthians 6:3)! The fact that God has given you His precious Holy Spirit as a deposit guaranteeing you of things to come should tell you how precious you are to Him (2nd Corinthians 5:5). Even the angels are mystified by this great benevolence of God to us and by the fact that He has set us over the world to come (1st Peter 1:12, Hebrews 2:5-8). Armed with this knowledge, If I were you, I would jealously guard my salvation, lest I lost my worth and become a castaway (1st Corinthians 9:27).

Singer Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley,  said that he has two wives and four children who are all British citizens.

He revealed that he is not a criminal and knows nothing about what the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission found on his laptop.

Naira Marley, who claimed to be 28-years old, said that he has never done anything illegal with his laptop aside from storing his songs and music videos.

The artist said this in his statement on oath which he made while in EFCC custody, which was obtained exclusively by The PUNCH.

The artiste, who identified himself as a Swedish Yoruba man, wrote,

 “My name is Azeez Fashola.

“I am married to two wives and I have four kids. They are all British citizens staying in the United Kingdom.

“I studied in the United Kingdom, started studying at Porlock Hall, then I moved to Walworth School where I received my GCSE.

“My results for my GCSE are English (C), Maths (B) and Science (C).

“I left Walworth School with my qualification and went further to study at Peckham Academy, where I got a distinction in Business.

“Then, I went further to study at Crossways College where I finished my Business Law; but I had kids at that time, so I took a break and started making music till date.”

According to Naira Marley, he was given the laptop to use temporarily to upload videos on YouTube.

He said,

“I started making music in 2014 individually (sic), but now I’m signed to Marathon, a United Kingdom-based record label.

“I had a deal with Coca-Cola for my song, Issa Goal, in which I featured Olamide and Lil Kesh.

“I also had deals with Nike to participate in the Nigerian sportswear (sic).

“I’m in possession of a MacBook laptop, which I borrowed from a friend named Yad Isril in England, because while returning to Nigeria, I knew I was going to need a laptop to upload my music videos on YouTube and also to keep my exclusive songs.”

Naira Marley added, “I’m in possession of the laptop but I have no idea what is on it apart from my music videos.”

According to the artiste, the said laptop had no password and could be accessed by anyone.

He claimed to have met Isril in a secondary school in England.

“He owns the butcher’s and an electronics shop in England. He is a British citizen, though his family is from Iraq.

“I don’t have a personal laptop at the moment because I don’t need it.

“My management team handles everything I need to do on the laptop. I only use my iPhone X for everything I do,” he said.

The EFCC had arrested the artiste on May 10, 2019 together with Omoniyi Temidayo (aka Zlatan Ibile) and three others for alleged advance fee fraud.

Following his arrest, the anti-graft agency filed 11 charges against him.

The charges with suit number FHC/L/178C/19 were filed before a Lagos State High Court.

The artiste was later arraigned before Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, on May 20, 2019.

Following his arraignment, Justice Oweibo ordered that Naira Marley be remanded in prison custody until May 30 to take the bail application filed by the defence counsel, Taiwo Oreagba, on behalf of his client.

Two nights ago,He drank sniper and called his close friends to tell them that his going to a journey of no return. Before they came to his Lodge to know what is happening, he has already drank half of the sniper. He gave up before they were able to get him to the hospital. Nobody have any clue his reasons for committing suicide.”

Popular prophetess Felicia Agwu found dead on Abakaliki road

The Police Command branch situated at Ebonyi says Police officials are working to find out the cause of death of a popular prophetess in Ebonyi, who was found laying dead along Ezza Road, Abakaliki, recently.

Reports show that Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Loveth Odah, who briefed journalists in Abakaliki on Tuesday on the incident, said that investigation was ongoing to be sure of the woman’s actual cause of death.

According to the command report, the deceased name identified as Mrs. Felicia Agwu, hails from a native of Uburu, Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, was found dead along Ezza Road area of Abakaliki.

Agwu was a popular prophetess in one of the new generation churches, while her ministry was located in Ezza North Local Government Area of Ebonyi.

“A woman in her early 50s was found lying lifeless along the Ezza Road axis of Abakaliki on May 18, when a good-spirited Nigerian called the attention of the Command, which quickly mobilised to the scene.

“Our men got to the scene, took the woman to the hospital, where she was confirmed dead by a medical expert.

“The cause of her death is yet unknown, but we have launched investigation to ascertain the real cause of her death.

“There were no injuries found on her body to establish a case of criminal attack on the deceased, so, for now, we are having a case of ‘sudden’ death until we conclude our investigation.

“We implore the family of the deceased and the public with vital information that might help the Police in their investigation to contact the Command,” Odah said.

In other words, He is a covenant-keeping God. Based on my experience, I can boldly say that entering into a covenant partnership with God is a wise thing to do. Times without number, God has proved it to me that no one can beat Him in adherence to the terms of a covenant relationship. In today’s Bible reading, we see a situation where God’s need intersected with the need of man to produce a covenant partnership. God urgently needed a faithful priest to replace Eli and his notorious children, while Hannah needed a son to silence her adversary, Peninnah, who continually mocked her on account of her barrenness. To get her heart’s desire, Hannah entered into a covenant partnership with God. She promised that if God would give her a male child, she would give him back to God. The deal was struck: Hannah got a son and God got his priest. The great God even went on to bless Hannah with five more children (1 Samuel 2:21)!

Testimonies abound on covenant partnership in our ministry; testimonies of how God has been keeping His own side of the bargain with those who have chosen to partner with Him in the advancement of His kingdom. There is one covenant partner in our ministry who rose from being an employee to becoming a member of his company’s board of directors. This exemplifies what those who partner with God stand to gain, provided they keep to their agreement with God. There is also this story of someone who chose to partner with God but decided to breach the covenant even before the first miracle matured. A young man came to us and shared his desire to become a covenant partner with God. We prayed, and he received his first breakthrough when someone hired him to put his estate up for sale. When we advised him to give God a tithe out of his profit from the deal, he flared up and said “not until another one comes!” He left in anger, but before long, the fellow who wanted to sell his estate changed his mind at the point of payment, to the extent that he literally chased this covenant breaker away! That was how the young man lost a huge business deal. Beloved, God is a very faithful business partner to have if you decide to enter into a covenant relationship, He chose to make us comfortable by asking for only a tenth of the blessing He gives us. To receive more blessings, the wise will want to increase God’s portion of this sharing formula. Like some of us have done. Choose to partner with God today and you will see how pleasant he is to do business with.

9 And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow.

10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

MESSAGE: 

Here’s some good news for children of God today: the Almighty God, the Creator of the universe, still answers the prayers of those who call on Him.

There is someone using this devotional who thinks that God no longer answers prayers, because it seems you have never received an answer to your prayers before.

Those testimonies you have been hearing of God’s awesome acts now look likemade-up stories. The Lord asked me to declare to you these words of Jesus Christ today:

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye askednothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.”

John 16:23b-24

God’s promise in today’s memory verse is as valid as ever, and we must keep believing it. We should not allow the devil cheat us by convincing us to seek other alternatives instead of praying to God.

When the Almighty declared the words of Psalm 50:15, He was not making a political statement; rather, He was telling us not only what He is capable of doing but also what He is eager to do if only we believe. In John 11:40, Jesus said to Martha:

“…Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?”

What He said to Martha, He says to you also today. One man who experienced this prayer-answering God was Jabez.


Reacting to the painful circumstances surrounding his birth, his mother gave him a name meaning “child of sorrow”.

However, Jabez was determined to defy the negative influence of this bad name. He therefore called upon God, and the Lord granted his request. Are you under a similar burden?

I decree over you today that like Jabez, every negative influence affecting you will be wiped away as you pray in faith in Jesus Name. You can learn a lot from the prayer of Jabez, particularly the way he rejected poverty by a simple prayer of faith.

Jabez did not shy away from prosperity like some Christians do. I have tested poverty, so much so that I had no shoes no my feet until I was eighteen years old.

I have also had a taste of divine prosperity. I can therefore tell you that one is far better than the other. Moreover, Jabez prayed that riches should come into his life without bringing calamity along.

My wife denies me s*x over my micro p!nis – Pastor tells court

Minister Samson Farounbi, has told an Idi-Ogungun Customary Court, Agodi, in Ibadan, that the little size of his p-nis made his alienated spouse to deny him s-x for an extensive stretch.

Farounbi revealed this on Monday while affirming under the watchful eye of the court on an instance of separation he founded against Tope Farounbi.

He had mentioned the court to end the 19-year-old association on the grounds of agitation of psyche, danger to life and absence of regard for his family.

Portraying his difficulties, the Pastor said his better half, who was a natural product merchant, used to return home at late hours consistently and wouldn't have s-x with him.

”There was a day I challenged her why she always return late and denying me s-x.

”She confessed that the small size of my p-nis was responsible for keeping late outside and for refusing to have s-x with her.

”She suggested to buy local herb for the treatment of my micro p-nis which cost N5,000 but I priced it down to N4,000.

”I got myself treated with the ‘Agbo'(local herb) but she still felt reluctance to allow me have access to her body,” he narrated.

The pastor further alleged that the defendant maltreated his mother when she was living with him and that the ill-treatment forced his aged mother to relocate to Ilesha where she died few months later.

He told the court that Tope used to curse every member of his family and always cursed his blood brothers when they visited him.

”My lord, she is a devil, always fighting people especially females, that come to my church for prayer, accusing me of flirting with them.

”We have never stayed beyond two years in every house I rented since we married 19 years ago due to her stubbornness and troublesome character.

”The five children of our union lack home training and always cursing me whenever I tried to correct any of the kids for doing wrong things.

”In fact, our first child has ran away from home now and I cannot even locate his whereabouts.

”I urge the court to separate us so that I can have peace of mind to do my pastoral work,” he pleaded.

In her defence, Tope denied all the allegations but urged the court to dissolve the marriage as requested by the plaintiff.

She accused her husband of womanising, saying he never care for her welfare but was in the habit of drinking alcohol.

The President of the court, Chief Mukaila Balogun and the two court assessors, Chief Wahab Popoola and Chief Alao Ganiyu, in their unanimous decision dissolved the marriage.

Balogun said the court was handicapped to settle the dispute between the parties because the couple had agreed to end the marriage.

He ordered that three kids that are males including the first born that ran away should be in the custody of the plaintiff while the remaining two daughters should remain with the defendant.

He further directed the plaintiff to pay N8,000 monthly allowance for the upkeep of the two kids in the defendant custody.

He admonished the parties to refrain from fomenting trouble or disturb public peace.

Three Nigerians Receives 40 years in UK jail

Three Nigerians have been sentenced to a combined 40 years in UK jail over charges of conspiracy to supply firearms and drugs.

The trio, Kennedy Udo, 29, Michael Mgbedike, 22, and Emmanuel Okubote, 27, were convicted by Woolwich Crown Court.

According to Metropolitan Police, Udo of Avery Hill Road, Eltham, SE9 was sentenced to eight years and six months, having been found guilty of conspiracy to supply drugs and being knowingly concerned in the fraudulent evasion of a prohibition on the importation of goods.

Mgbedike of Spur Road, Orpington, BR6 was sentenced to eight years, having been found guilty of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.


While Okubote of Evan Cook Close, Peckham, SE15 was found guilty of conspiracy to supply firearms with intent to endanger life, conspiracy to possess ammunition with intent to endanger life, conspiracy to supply class A drugs and possessing ammunition with intent to endanger life.

Okubote was sentenced to 23.5 years’ imprisonment on 9 November 2018.

Dog sniffs out an Infant buried alive by its 15-year-old mother

A three-legged dog has miraculously led residents of a farming community to a day old child that was buried and abandoned to die by its 15-year-old mother.

This occurred in Korat’s Tha Talat community in Thailand last Wednesday and was reported by major local media.

Witnesses said the baby was found buried in a cassava field, but no one was aware.

However, farmers were observant on how the dog was sniffing around one spot, and they went ahead to dig out what was there and were amazed to dig out a living infant.

Police soon arrested the 15-year-old girl who has since been charged with attempted murder. She had reportedly confessed to burying her own newborn baby. Police said the teenager told them she was afraid that her father would beat her for getting pregnant.

Her mother’s family has requested to take the baby under their care, Police told the local press.

Talking about the six-year-old dog, named Ping Pong, that sniffed out the baby, its owner, Usa Nisaika, 41, was said to have raised it from birth.

“Ping Pong was hit by a car, so he’s disabled. But I kept him because he’s so loyal and obedient, and always helps me out when I go into the fields to tend to my cattle,” Nisaika said.

“He’s loved by the entire village. It’s amazing he found the baby,” he added.

The mother-of-three stopped seeing properly on Friday, just weeks before the Spice Girls reunion tour is due to kick off.

According to The Sun, she arrived at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London and told medics that she was "totally blind" and "couldn't see anything."

The 43-year-old cannot see with her left eye due to a botched laser surgery done 20 years ago to correct her vision but which ended up going wrong.

A source to The Sun: "Mel was in a really bad way. The other girls and their managers were really worried.

"Mel was frantic and screaming that she couldn't see a thing. She went to the hospital in a chauffeur-driven car with an assistant, who was holding her hand. No one knew what brought it on but she had very swift, and very good, treatment."

After arriving at the hospital, Mel B was later transferred to Luton and Dunstable Hospital's ophthalmology department and was discharged when she was able to see again.

A spokeswoman for Mel B said: "The situation with Mel is under control. She is looking forward to the tour."

Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale caused a scene at this year’s Ghana Music Awards after his rival and label mate Stonebwoy was announced as the winner for the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the year.

According to a live video from the event, Shatta Wale stormed the stage after Stonebwoy had mounted the stage to receive his award and hopefully thank his followers.

It is also rumoured that Stonebwoy pulled a gun out on stage.
