"I am disgusted at the blatant disregard" - Toke Makinwa Reacts to the Postponement of the General Election
Media personality, Toke Makinwa has reacted to the postponement of the 2019 general elections by INEC saying, 'I am disgusted at the blatant disregard'.
Toke makinwa shared a photo of Nigerian Youth corpers sleeping on the floor, while allegedly waiting to obtain election materials last night and wrote,
'If this picture of youth corpers sleeping outside is real then it’s a big shame. I am disgusted at the blatant disregard, you wait till 2am to announce the postponement of the elections? Why? People have travelled far and wide to their various polling units and you do this? Which way Nigeria???? Why do we love to embarrass ourselves so much? The whole world is watching and we do this? I am so confused.
Just when you think it can’t get any worse, you think they can’t shock you anymore. Just when you are so sure, they outdo themselves. We must not give up, we must stay prayed up and vigilant this week. Come 23rd we decide'.
Don't sell your vote, it's your birthright - Genevieve to Nigerians
Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji has spoken to Nigerians telling them not to sell their votes as the country prepares to elect new set of leaders few days from now.
She tweeted:
“You are in control once every 4 years. Your vote is your birthright. Remember, you are not too small to make a difference.”
She sent this message with a photo quote that read:
“If they are willing to pay for it, then it must be worth a lot. Don’t sell.”
2019 Election: We need be reminded the things we already know.
Not too long ago, I heard this, I think, coined adage: You need light to produce better light, and I began to relate this adage with matters we know. But first things first.
Let's start with this:
The elections are forthcoming, it's real close, and we are all about Buhari and Atiku. About who we want to win elections. About parties.
True, the choice of the presidency is an indicator to where the country's pendulum swings. But then, the cooperation of those under his government, even at the most minimal position is imperative to catalyze the growth of the country.
To think we know this, and solely throw accusations at the presidency is just plain dumb, honestly.
What's my point?
This: Everyone is so focused on Buhari and Atiku, keeping blind about our LGAs, forgetting that to have a better country, we must first start with our vicinity.
So here's the point about the better light:
Let's say you're in a dark unfamiliar room, looking to switch the changeover. You keep feeling the dark, feeling things, hoping to find the changeover switch which proves herculean. However, if you're with light no matter how dim–say a candlelight or torchlight–to guide you, you would be able to procure that better, brilliant light.
The afore example is equatable to the political seats of our country. We need elect that faint light in minor positions. We need better representatives in positions as local government chairman, councillors, Senate, up to governors. People who can notice the situation of the vicinity, especially in rural areas.
Come to think of it, the President isn't omnipresent, he can't be everywhere at once. He doesn't see everywhere, particularly rural areas. Now, that's why he has eyes all over in persons as governors, and the governors too have eyes in each parts of their respective states in chairmen and councillors. These people, the councillors, chairmen, are expected to act as watchmen, discovering loops and challenges in their designated areas. These minor elected men are to notice things, not the president. No. But the LGA heads.
How can we know all these and still seem naive. I don't understand. Don't these nepotists deserve their share of criticism? Let's be realistic, it's these ones that make it seem like the governors, president, don't allocate funds to areas in need of care.
I heard about how some money allocated to one of these local government for educational purpose was unaccounted for. It's bad. Real bad that these things happens. That's what happens when we vote parties, and not individuals with credentials.
Yes, the presidential seat might be out of our hands in terms of providing a suitable profile as a candidate, but the minor seats we can influence. How? By understanding that there are criterias to be considered for selecting candidates. The most important, to me, being the candidate's involvement in the area he wants to head. If you're not involved in community projects and development, you aren't fit to become a candidate. I mean, whatever will you offer? It's not a matter of academic feats, it is rather your care for the betterment of individuals even before your political campaign. You must have a record of affection towards the people.
It's further sad we vote men who do not reside within a vicinity into power. Now tell me, how do you expect them to be functional? When their families aren't affected by the challenges the residents of the designated areas face each day. When their kids do not get stuck in heavy traffic as the people of the area.
So what's the point? That everyone is about Buhari and Atiku, and we can't talk about those in our local government. What's worse, the majority of Local Government residents don't know who their Chairman is. Have never seen him. They don't know if he stays within their vicinity.
Look, we need a fresh start. We need to set a foundation to build better vicinities, that would spur growth and productivity in the country. We need start from the grassroots, voting should start from the grassroot. We need people who idealistic individuals who can take not just notice faults, but can also put structures in place. Structures to shapen and bring an area to fulfillment. People who can create jobs in our locality.
I'll let you in on something. It doesn't matter who ascends power come February the 15th, the status quo of our vicinity, LGA, might just be the same or deteriorate if the wrong persons keep power.
Vote wisely.

5 Things to Say to A Girl You Like
There can't be too many questions you can ask a girl you like, but trust me there are some that will get her talking and will make her interested in you in a short period of time. Girls ain't as complicated as the way we think guys, yet we can't say they are simple as well.
Just know that to get the attention of a girl, you just have to ask normally and in a very simple way, you don't need to act nervous of crazy in front of her because of the way you feel about her. Just be as honest as possible, nowadays girls like guys that are truthful, honest, open-minded and confident.
As I have stated earlier, don't be nervous or recite a romantic confession just to win her to yourself, you might lose her forever if you try to do those things because it shows you ain't so honest with her.
I will be listing some questions below you should never ask a girl ( in fact any girl) if you really like her and want to actually get to know her.
- You should eat more/less.
- You’d be perfect if…
- Women complain too much.
- Are you on your period?
- What's is your age?
- Never ask Anything that starts with “no offence, but…”
- “Is That What You’re Going To Wear?”
- “How Many Guys Have You Slept With?”
- “You’re still hungry?”
- “Didn’t you wear that last week?”
- “Is that your real hair?”
Now that you have seen these set of questions above, try as much as possible not to ask them or anyone relating to them to any girl.
So the question is what type of questions should I really be asking the girl I like. don't be in a hurry, I have carefully researched and gotten a great list for you.
So the question is what type of questions should I really be asking the girl I like. don't be in a hurry, I have carefully researched and gotten a great list for you.
HERE ARE SOME QUESTIONS YOU SHOULD ASK THE GIRL YOU LIKE?
- You are Smart. All ladies are smart in their own special way. No two girls will have the same exact way of thinking. So you have to show you care about that and that you actually appreciate the way she thinks.
- You are beautiful. One thing you should have in mind when telling her this is that you have to be specific on which part of her you referring to. Give specifics and not just an overview of her beauty, trust me she will be interested in any other thing you have to tell her.
- I never thought about it like that. At whatever point a person reacts to something I said with this rather than "I don't have an idea," or "I've never known about that,". It demonstrates a receptiveness to find out more and really listen to me.
- I love how Funny you are. Well, that doesn't mean you have to say it like every minute, that implies you are just saying it to her out of your mind. You should sure what she said was actually funny before leaping to use the line...*winks*
- Thank you. This statement goes a long way. I once helped a lady I pitied to solve some of her exam questions after he begged me to, and she never said thank you. I felt bad because it was like she didn’t appreciate all the time and effort I put in doing that. Anyway, I can't help her with anything anymore. Appreciation goes way more than just the word.
See more Questions you can ask her below;
- I can’t stop thinking about you.
- Thank you for being you.
- I love you and I like it.
- Without you, my life is a lot less beautiful.
- You are stunning.
- You are perfection.
- I love the way your nose crinkles when you smile.
- Thank you for teaching me what love is.
- You treat me so well.
- You make me the happiest person in the world.
- I miss you.
We can go on and on without actually ending this content. Just know that there's no limit to the statements and questions you can ask a lady. You just have to be conscious that it comes with honesty and not just a flattery compliment or statement you don't really mean.

Stop listening to pastors if you want to be rich – Daddy Freeze
According to controversial personality daddy freeze, if you want to acquire a substantial amount of wealth, do not listen to religious leaders.
According to him, anyone who wants wealth should either get to a business school or do things the way Chinese do them.
Sharing a video featured by Chinese men, he stated that 90 per cent of Chinese people don't believe in any religion.
He said;
He said;
”The Chinese people that built this train (look out for China civil on the coachwork), have the world’s largest number of billionaires in dollars, a total of 819 billionaires and have eradicated extreme poverty.
–
In China 90% of the population does not believe in, or practice ANY religion. Of the 10% left, majority are Buddhist.
–
Practicing a religion or worshipping God does NOT guarantee wealth, if it did, Nigeria with 5 churches on every street will have the highest number of billionaires, instead we have only 5 billionaires in dollars and the world’s largest number of poor people living in extreme poverty, visit www.worldpoverty.io

OPEN HEAVENS 11 FEBRUARY 2019 – BARGAINING WITH THE DIVINE
OPEN HEAVENS 11 FEBRUARY 2019 TOPIC – BARGAINING WITH THE DIVINE
OPEN HEAVENS 11 FEBRUARY 2019 MEMORISE: And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee. Genesis 28:22
OPEN HEAVENS 11 FEBRUARY 2019 BIBLE READ: 1 Samuel 1:9-11
9 So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD.
10 And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore.
11 And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.
OPEN HEAVENS 11 FEBRUARY 2019 MESSAGE
Our heavenly Father is so gracious to us that even though He is omnipotent, He still allows us to bargain with Him when the need arises.
Agreements between God and mankind can be broadly classified under three categories: covenants, vows and oaths. Covenants are solemn agreements or promises which are confirmed by sacrifice or the sharing of a meal as a token of the commitment of both parties to uphold the articles of the covenant they have made.
An example of this is the covenant between Jesus Christ and His Church which we invoke through the Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 11:23-27). Speaking on covenants, the Holy Spirit says in Psalm 50:5:
“Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”
On the other hand, vows are pledges made to God as part of an appeal for something of great importance. It can also be viewed as a promise to God to do something, with the implication that failure to perform what is promised will result in divine sanctions.
The fulfilment of vows is conditioned on the granting of a request. Thirdly, an oath is a binding promise with the invocation of repercussions for failing to fulfil the promise made. The curse or negative consequence will be carried out if the oath is broken.
The Bible does not place any requirement or compulsion on any Christian to enter into a covenant, make a vow or pronounce an oath. They are all voluntary obligations, but once entered into; they are binding and must be kept.
Covenants, vows and oaths are often used to measure our seriousness and emphasize our commitment to receive something important from God. In Genesis 28:20-22, Jacob bargained with God and his request was granted.
In Judges 11:30-31, Jephthah made a vow unto the Lord and he received an immediate answer to his request. Hannah made a vow to God when she needed a child and God granted her request in a way that put a new song in her mouth (1Samuel 1:11).
Also, Israel as a nation made a vow in Numbers 21:2 for the Lord to grant them victory over their enemy, and God granted their request.
At different times and for diverse and for diverse reasons, Abraham, David , Solomon, Paul and others proved the efficacy of bargaining with God, and none of them was by any means disappointed.
Entering into an agreement with God in order to resolve a difficult issue or in order to get God to move in your favour is highly recommended, but you must not fail to fulfil your promise to Him.
OPEN HEAVENS 11 FEBRUARY 2019 ACTION POINT:
Reflect over the covenant between you and the Lord Jesus Christ; are you living up to the terms of this covenant? Have you fulfilled all your vows to the Lord?
OPEN HEAVENS 11 FEBRUARY 2019 HYMN 9: IN CHRIST ALONE
1. In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand.
2. In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
‘Til on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live.
3. There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ
4. No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand.

Go and Erect you own Symbol, If you are miffed by the Giant Broom statue, APC tells PDP
The All Progressives Congress, APC, has reacted to the Gaint broom that was erected Abuja and said that they know nothing about the broom that was erected, and urged the opposition party PP to go erect their own symbol if it's affecting them.
Some Twitter users have also reacted to this statue on their handles, below are some of the notable personalities that reacted to it;
In a statement by its national publicity secretary, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan, the PDP is against the erection of the giant broom, accusing the APC of purposely mounting the statue of the broom close to the national monument to impose itself on the consciousness of the people.
But in a quick reply to the PDP’s accusation, the APC’s publicity secretary, Mallam Lanre Isa-Onilu, in an exclusive interview with Channels Television, told the PDP to go erect its own symbol if it is miffed by the Big broom symbol.
He, however, said that the broom statue was erected by Nigerians who are supporters of the Buhari-led administration.
