We Can Now Mourn Over Emiliano Sala - Family says

The family of Emiliano Sala, a Cardiff city footballer, says they can now start to mourn him following the identification of his body from a plane crashed in the channels.

“We can now begin to mourn our son and our brother. We would like to thank you for all of your signs of affection and support in the most painful time of our life. To see everyone doing everything possible to join us in the search has been a precious help to us” the Argentinian player’s family said in a statement, also thanking everyone involved in the effort to locate the submerged wreckage off Guernsey.

The family also said their heart is still with the family of the 59- years old pilot David Ibbotson, whose body is yet to be found, saying “we hope the authorities do everything possible to find him”.

Sala was on his way back to his new club after he want to France to say goodbye to his teammates at Ligue 1 club Nantes and was flying to Wales on January 21 following his 17-million-euro ($19.3 million) transfer. The plane, a Piper PA-46 Malibu, vanished from radar around 20 kilometres (12 miles) north of Guernsey.

Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj Are Cool

Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj ain't beefing with each other. Some rumors that they are beefing came up on the internet after Nicki released her latest song, “Bust Down Barbiana.”

In the song, the controversial rapper is heard saying, “Killing everybody beat, thank u, next Ariana.”

This made her Fan to conclude immediately that Nicki was referring to Grande’s hit tune, “Thank U, Next,” was a sign of diss from her, but they have since rubbished reports that there is a fight brewing between them.

Reacting to a now deleted tweet, a Twitter user asked Grande, “So it wasn’t shade?”

Her reply was,

“No silly a**, There will never be anything but love between us ever. She’s been there for me (in real life) every time I’ve needed somebody and I’ll always be there for her. We love each other. Bet.”

Minaj concurred with her own words, “Not more than you’ve been there for me behind the scenes. Love you. For life.”

Open Heavens 8 February 2019 Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 17:38-50 (KJV)

38 And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail.

39 And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.

40 And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd’s bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.

41 And the Philistine came on and drew near unto David; and the man that bare the shield went before him.

42 And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he disdained him: for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and of a fair countenance.

43 And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.

44 And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field.

45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.

46 This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.

47 And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD’S, and he will give you into our hands.

48 And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came and drew nigh to meet David, that David hasted, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.

49 And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.

50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.

Open Heaven 8 February 2019 Tuesday MESSAGE:

In Daniel 12:4, the Holy Spirit reveals that as the end of the world approaches, knowledge will greatly increase, and indeed, the world has witnessed an unprecedented increase in knowledge, particularly in the last two decades. Knowledge made available through studies in humanities, science and technology has become so advanced that human capacity for discovery, creativity and invention is at its highest level in history. If knowledge is power, then increased knowledge is a weapon that is highly desirable for achieving results and for doing exploits. Consequently, secular and Christian individuals and organizations now favor intellectual knowledge and advanced strategies and methods as the means for achieving success in life and ministry, and place a premium on those who are strong in this area.

However, God in His infinite wisdom seems to prefer the use of weak and ordinary vessels in achieving His divine purpose. Just imagine what He accomplished with ordinary vessels like the aged Abraham, Moses the murderer, Joseph the slave and prisoner, Rehab the harlot, Samson the one-man army, Samuel the little boy, Ruth the poor widow, Esther the orphan in captivity, David the forgotten shepherd boy, Joseph the carpenter, Mary the ordinary village girl, the disciples who were mostly uneducated fishermen, and a host of orders. 1 Corinthians 1: 26-28 affirms that not many wise people from human perspective, not many powerful people, and not many people of noble birth are called of God to accomplish purpose; but rather, God chooses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise, and He uses the weak things to amaze the mighty ones. Are you despised and considered inconsequential in the scheme of things? Does the world see you as weak or foolish? I have good news for you: you are a candidate for God’s use.

Why does God prefer to use weak vessels? It’s because He does not want anyone to boast in His presence (1 Corinthians 1:29). He does not want His mighty deeds attributed to human ability. His awesome feats done through weak vessels are indeed astounding. Today’s memory verse tells how Samson the untrained civilian used the jawbone of a donkey to kill a thousand armed philistine soldiers. 1 Samuel 17:50 records David the shepherd boy’s victory over Goliath with just a sling and a stone. Joshua 6:20 recounts how the wall of Jericho, which would have taken several days of serious work for bulldozers to demolish, fell down flat at the sound of a great noise from God’s people. God wants our faith to stand in Him and not in the wisdom of men. While knowledge is good, only faith in God through Jesus Christ can result in supernatural and malicious advancements.

Consecrated, Lord, to Thee.
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in endless praise,
Let them flow in endless praise.

2.Take my hands and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love.
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee,
Swift and beautiful for Thee.

3.Take my voice and let me sing,
Always, only for my King.
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee,
Filled with messages from Thee.

4. Take my silver and my gold,
Not a mite would I withhold.
Take my intellect and use
Every pow’r as Thou shalt choose,
Every pow’r as Thou shalt choose.

5. Take my will and make it Thine,
It shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart, it is Thine own,
It shall be Thy royal throne,

Take myself and I will be
Ever, only, all for Thee,

Memorise Verse: “And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.”- John 4:39

Open Heavens 6 February 2019 Bible Reading: John 4:25-39 (KJV)

25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

27 And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her?

28 The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,

29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

30 Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.

31 In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.

32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.

33 Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat?

34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.

37 And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.

38 I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.

39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.

Bible in One Year: Luke 22, Isaiah 33:10-24

Open Heaven 6 February 2019 Tuesday MESSAGE:

Proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ out of genuine love for God and appreciation for all He has done in our lives sums up what evangelism is all about. Several Bible passages emphasize the importance of evangelism and teach us the various means and methods by which we should carry out this all important responsibility. Our evangelism must always proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, beginning with salvation from sin, poverty, sickness and death, highlighting our authority over the devil and the powers of hell, and culminating in the hope of eternal life through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. To this end, in Matthew 28:19, the Lord Jesus Christ gave us a mandate that spells out our mission, known as the Great Commission. Knowing the enormity of the task before us, the Master also promised to empower us with the Holy Ghost, who transforms us into effective witnesses to spread the good news to the uttermost parts of the earth. Acts 1:8 says:

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

In addition to the empowerment that the Holy Spirit gives, our task is made simpler when we apply the method of witnessing one on one to our neighbors, friends and acquaintances, in what is known as personal evangelism. When we tell others about the power of God to save, deliver and transform through Jesus, and we share our personal testimonies, no matter how ordinary they may seem, this usually produces great results. Consider for a moment the story of the Samaritan woman in today’s Bible reading. Her past was nothing to write home about, and physically, nothing new had happened to her. There was no visible miracle for her to present as a powerful testimony. She only told the people in the village that a total stranger had just told her of all her sinful and miserable past. It is therefore surprising that her message had a convincing effect on her listeners, so much so that she get a crowd to follow her to see Jesus. This shows that God can use your own personal testimony to convert souls to His kingdom, even without fabricated or exaggerated testimonies of miracles, signs and wonders. Just be conscious of His unseen power working in the background to empower your speech as you present Jesus to people by sharing your personal testimonies. I pray that henceforth, every effort you make to witness to others will yield great harvests to the kingdom of God in Jesus’ Name.

Open Heaven 6 February 2019 Wednesday Hymn 15: Must I Go, And Empty-Handed

1. “Must I go, and empty-handed,”
Thus my dear Redeemer meet?
Not one day of service give Him,
Lay no trophy at His feet?

Chorus:

“Must I go, and empty-handed?”
Must I meet my Savior so?
Not one soul with which to greet Him:
Must I empty-handed go?

2. Not at death I shrink nor falter,
For my Savior saves me now;
But to meet Him empty-handed,
Thought of that now clouds my brow.

3. O the years in sinning wasted;
Could I but recall them now,
I would give them to my Savior,
To His will I’d gladly bow.

4. O ye saints, arouse, be earnest,
Up and work while yet ’tis day;
Ere the night of death o’ertake thee,
Strive for souls while still you may.

Bible in One Year: Luke 20-21, Isaiah 32:9-33:9

Open Heaven 5 February 2019 Tuesday MESSAGE:

As seen in today’s Bible reading, the Holy Spirit often uses the characteristics of storms figuratively to teach about human situations. I, therefore, believe that understanding the nature of storms will help us triumph over the challenges of life. In the physical realm, storms are violent disturbances of the atmosphere, usually accompanied by rain, strong winds, thunder, lightning or snow. Approaching with high speed, storms often render their victims virtually helpless, leaving them with few or no options in terms of defence or counter-attack. For this reason, storms can leave behind a trail of destruction of life and property of catastrophic magnitude.

The good news is, irrespective of their nature, God has control over storms! Even the strongest storms are subject to His authority. Nahum 1:3 declares that the Lord has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and several other passages of the Bible depict God as walking on the wings of the wind and riding on storms (2 Samuel 22:11, Psalm 18:10, Psalm 104:3). Job 38:1 tells us that God answered Job out of the whirlwind as though He has been reclining there, and in Mark 4:39, amidst a terrible storm, Jesus Christ arose, rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, “Peace, be still!” in obedience to His command, the wind immediately ceased, and there was a great calm. In the Name that is above all other names, I command every raging storm in your life to cease now.

Since little or nothing can be done to neutralize a raging storm by way of prevention or defense, the Holy Spirit teaches that the wise thing to do is to prepare for it. Preparing for the storms of life ranks so high in importance that today’s Bible reading classifies all of mankind according to their preparedness. The well-prepared ones are tagged wise, while the unprepared are called foolish. Note that both the wise and foolish will be subjected to the adversity of the storm, and no one will be exempted. You, therefore, need to be adequately prepared for storms by holding on to Jesus, who is a shelter in the midst of the storm! God will deliver you from every storm of life in Jesus’ Name.

Open Heaven 5 February 2019 Tuesday Prayer Point:

Father, please grant me the wisdom to adequately prepare for the storms of life. You know all things before they happen, please guide my feet to the place of all-round security in You in Jesus’ Name.

The rivalry party Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has voiced out that the Present President of Nigeria, President Muhammedu Buhari and his party All Progressives Congress (APC) , will be defeated at the 2019 presidential election with the way Atiku has been endorsed by Nigerians.

The party, via spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan said

“our nation will never succumb to Buhari Presidency’s assault on our National Assembly, the attack on our judiciary and besieging of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) where President Buhari’s relation is being foisted as the head of the collation center.”

“The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), after consideration of all factors, reinforced the global unanimity and affirmation by various credible and independent bodies within and outside Nigeria, including the Afenifere, the Ohaneze Ndigbo, the Northern Elders’ Forum, the Pan Niger Delta Forum, the Middle Belt Forum, among several others, that Atiku Abubakar will win the February 16, Presidential election.

“Nigerians have chosen democracy with its tenets, as a way of life, including justice and constitutional freedom it offers the citizens to determine who their leaders should be at any given time, and nobody, not even President Buhari, can take away this freedom and rights, under any circumstance whatsoever.

“Nigerians know how the PDP restored, nurtured and allowed our democracy to thrive to the extent that it was possible for the opposition to win in a general election with President Buhari as the major beneficiary. The PDP allowed a free and fair election, respected the will of the people and handed over power to President Buhari, without any shenanigans that would have denied him victory.

She said from the 1999 constitution, the freedom of association present there gave Nigerians the right to associate with anyone in the world.

Guys: See 10 Popular Lies Told By Ladies

Guys: See 10 Popular Lies Told By Ladies

For what reason are a few relationships fairer than others? For what reason are some couples honest with one another while others like to delude the other half? No one has the right to be lied to, however, there are no questions that ladies are telling lies extensively and frequently. Be that as it may, so does men do likewise.

On the off chance that you have trust issues in your relationship, as a matter of fact, a lady may deceive you. Trust is something that you should work from the earliest starting point of the relationship. Despite the fact that many individuals state ''white lies'' so as to improve others feel. A few ladies lie in light of the fact that, as caring creatures by nature, they need to save the feelings of the man they are dating or seeing.

In this way, here are some basic lies told by ladies that you should be aware of. Some time or another you may hear them from your partner and it is better to know their genuine meaning.

1. You're Perfect.

I adore you simply the way in which you are and I wouldn't try to modify anything about you. We should stop kidding and be real; no one is perfect. Toward the start of a relationship, every one of them say this since they didn't have any idea of who you are yet after some time will discover something that needs to be changed. Along these lines, on the off chance that she tells you something like this, don't be too full of yourself because she had only discovered you are perfect only for several days, and after that she will request that you change.

2. You're Correct.

Each time you are contending with your sweetheart, for the most part, it ends by she revealing to you that you are correct? Perhaps this makes you feel proud of you, yet you need to realize this is a great lie. She only said this to make you quiet, whether she thinks or didn't think about that you're correct. She realizes that sooner or later you will see that she was correct, and might be waiting for your apologies.

3. Nothing is Wrong.

The most widely recognized lie '' I'm fine'' when inquired as to whether there is something wrong or not is most utilised by ladies. You can see that she is vexed, she is acting unusual or wouldn't like to talk with you excessively and you ask her what is the issue she says that all is well. They would prefer not to tell the genuine truth however they are anticipating that men should figure out that something isn't right and those they had an issue with something.

4. I do Love Sports Babe.

Possibly she consents to remain and watch with you consistently at a football match yet this doesn't generally imply that she likes it. She mostly do this to demonstrate to you that she is not the same as different young ladies and you have similar interest. You might believe that you have found the ideal young lady for you, in light of the fact that relatively few of them might want to remain to watch football, however don't be too happy because after a while she might have had enough and get angry every time you sit down to watch a game.

5. I Like Spending Time with your Friends.

Toward the starting, this is alright, but not that much. Regardless of whether they are your very close friends of you, she might want to spend much more time alone with you and not with your friends. If however, she didn't reveal this to you as of now, she may request that you keep visits from your pals at least and after that, she may continue pretending she likes them.

6. Your Family is Adorable, so I like being with your Family.

Reality? Perhaps let's say two times per month. Consider it. Do you truly imagine that she loves to spend time with your family where everyone is scrutinizing her and keep a close eye on her? She consents to be with your family when it is fundamental however she doesn't do it with much joy regardless of whether she is pretending in front of you that she loves them.

7.Your Bank Account doesn't Matter.

I hope you didn't buy this big lie. We as a whole realize this is unquestionably a lie. All ladies need a guy who is financially matured and independent, a person that can guarantee her a future with no money related issues. This doesn't imply that you must be rich to have a sweetheart, yet you must have some little cash.

8.I have no Problem with you Caring for Ladies or going with your Friends to Strip-clubs.

This is too great to even consider it being a truth. Indeed, even when she says this is okay, she will hate it that you want to go. They don't like to feel second best to a night out with the folks, and accepts this so as to influence themselves to appear to be less pathtically needy. On the off chance that you go, she will make you a great deal of remarks after, so you better reconsider before you go.

9. You are Extremely Great in Bed.

In the event that she talks about this without you asking her, you don't need to trust all she says. In the event that she begins to compliment you about your sexual experience that doesn't imply that she truly believe that. Regularly a lady who loves a guy discloses to him all that she realizes he needs to hear just to make him proud of himself. So consider your better half, your relationship, your sexual experience and check whether you truly merit compliments on this subject.

10.Don't Stress, it happens to Everybody.

On the off chance that you simply commit an error, or flop in bed, you may hear this lie from your sweetheart. She wouldn't like to demonstrate to you how steamed she is on you yet in her mind thinks something different.
I wouldn't be too sure that your mistake is forgiven and I would worry in not making too many '' accidents'' like these.

I can go on and on on this topic, but I just have to give it a stop at this instant. With all these stated, it will, therefore, be simpler for you to know when your girlfriend is lying. As you see, what a lady says isn't what she truly believe.

Please leave a comment and you can add your own lies you think ladies often tell. *Winks*

Bible in One Year: Luke 18-19, Isaiah 31:1-32:8

Open Heaven 4 February 2019 Monday MESSAGE:

In the Bible, truth is presented as the nature of God which is opposed to falsehood, deception and lies. As Paul demonstrates in Romans 9:1, whenever truth is in operation, there is agreement between the human conscience and the witness of the Holy Spirit. Living a life of truth is desirable by God and receives commendation from Him. Proverb 12:22 says,

“Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.”

God is the essence of truth, and he expects this nature of His to reflect in the character of His children. He condemns falsehood in all forms, but takes pleasure in truth and honesty, which He regards as the hallmark of an upright person.

Truth always paints the picture of things without filtering them to suit personal preferences or vested interests. Unfortunately, one of the problems of leadership in the world today is the shortage of sincere counsel. To their undoing, the allure of office has proved to have a strong corrupting influence on many people around great leaders, including ministers of God. Even the best of men and women begin to exhibit sycophancy, flattery and systematic manipulation soon after introduction to the corridors of power, and as a result, most leaders today are either starved of the truth or presented with filtered, edited or colored version of it. The Bible refers to this act as “holding the truth in unrighteousness” (Romans 1:18). Those behind this deception often claim to be acting in the best interest of their masters. They claim that keeping bad news away from them reduces their exposure to stress. Thanks be to God for the Holy Spirit who always strengthens and guides His children into all truth! There is therefore no need to filter the truth presented to leaders acting under God’s unction.

Sycophants and flatterers who are in the habit of editing or suppressing truth are definitely not working in the best interest of their masters. This practice is such a terrible act before God, and Romans 1:18 tells us that God’s wrath is against those who perpetrates it. Armed with the knowledge that any decision based on truth held back in unrighteousness is likely to be faulty, leaders in all spheres of life have the responsibility of ensuring that they are furnished with the truth at all times. Leaders should therefore endeavor to eliminate the dross of sycophancy and there shall come forth vessels of honor for the success of their God-given assignment. Whenever a leader works with the raw material of pure truth, with the help of the Holy Spirit, the end product is always a perfect result that is pleasing and acceptable to God.

There is no difference between Oluorogbo and Jesus Christ - Ooni of Ife

There is no difference between Oluorogbo and Jesus Christ - Ooni of Ife

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojala 11. has referred Yoruba deity Oluorogbo as the same as Jesus Christ the Christians worship.

The Ooni of Ife, speaking to newsmen at the resuscitation of the Edi Annual Festival in Ile-Ife, which is a day set aside for the worship of the Yoruba deity on Saturday February 2nd, said the Olurogbo deity is like Jesus Christ who ascended from Heaven after being killed by his mother, Moremi as a sacrifice for the gods.

In his words;

”There is no difference between Oluorogbo and Jesus Christ, the son of God that Christians believed in, for they both sacrificed their lives for the salvation of all souls” he said

According to the monarch, Oluorogbo who is also the son of God, is a selfless deity that turned himself into a sacrificial lamb for humanity, to bring peace and sanity among other deities to the world. The monarch added that just like Jesus Christ brought peace and unity to the whole world, so also did Oluorogbo bring peace to his people after he delivered them.

”Unlike Jesus Christ who came over 2000 years ago, Oluorogbo preceded the creation of the whole universe and as Christians are expecting the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, Oluorogbo will forever remain” the Ooni said.

The Oba, did not accept the claims that the people of Ife are idolaters. According to him, the Ife people who serve their deities do so to uphold the cultural heritage and tradition of the Yoruba race. He added also that they are only worshipping the Almighty God.

Marriage Affected My Career so Greatly

Marriage Affected My Career so Greatly

Popular Nollywood actress Opeyemi Aiyeola in a recent interview with the Punch has revealed the reasons why she left the country at the zenith of her career.

Speaking on Saturday beats, she said that marriage has in a great way affected her career.

“There are times I want to go out without makeup or wig, but these days, it is crazy. There was one morning that I was with a colleague and we met this wonderful male fan; he wanted to take pictures with us. My colleague declined because she didn’t have any makeup on, she stressed that the man might tag her on the picture and she didn’t want to be seen like that. I took a picture with him the way I was.

“Interestingly, when he posted the picture on social media, I received a lot of negative comments because of the way I looked in the picture; it can be extremely frustrating. Social media is a world I don’t understand; that is why I am always quiet there. I have the power to delete and block any negative comments; it is that simple. I make conscious efforts not to expose myself to negative news; the good thing is that it will go away with time. I left in 2007; I came back fully in 2017. I did bits of work once in a while before then”.

On the quality of the industry now compared to when she left, she said, “Nollywood used to be an industry of talents; unfortunately when I came back, I realised it was no longer a career path of talented people. It is now about social media. It is more about how much money an individual has to spend on publicity and the likes.

“So many people even get undeserved awards these days. Outside the movie set, the industry has become a world of make-believe. For example, everybody expects me to do photo shoots for birthdays and Valentine’s Day and I always wonder what could be the reason behind that. And me, I have responsibilities and children to cater for, so I can’t be doing all that.

“I have family members I am responsible for. It is crazily exciting and frustrating sometimes. It depends on how I handle it, sincerely, if I decide to roll the way they roll, it will be frustrating for me”.

On her marriage and the sacrifices she has had to make, Aiyeola said, “I relocated for marital reasons. When I left for the UK; building a family together with my husband was my priority. I feel there is always time for everything; nothing else was more important to me than my family. After raising my children, I thought the time was right for me to come back, so I came back to Nigeria to do more movies. I discussed it with my husband and he was in support; I tried to pick up from where I left.

Marriage had a great effect on my career because I left at a time when things were getting better in the industry, in terms of endorsements, and the likes. In my book, there is always a price to pay for everything. It costs some people money and some their career; it is all about sacrifice. Considering my age, when I got married, doing that and having children was more important to me at the time. I won’t crucify or judge anybody for their choices, it is an individual race”.

PDP demands that the politicians from Niger Republic at APC rally in Kano State should be Investigated

PDP demands politicians from Niger Republic at APC rally in Kano State to be Investigated

People Democracy Party (PDP) has brought up an issue with the All Progressive Congress(APC) on how they supposedly "leased and carried in a horde of outsiders from the Niger Republic to populate the President's battle rally in Kano state."

Here's the statement released by PDP;

"President Buhari and the APC, in their desperation have compromised our territorial integrity as a nation and this portends grave danger to our national security and the sanctity of our electoral process'.

For a nation contending with insurgency and banditry, the involvement of mercenaries from neighboring countries in the APC rally must be condemned by all and sundry. This is particularly against the backdrop of claims by President Buhari that killer herdsmen ravaging our nation are mercenaries who are infiltrating from the Sahel region.

Nigerians can now see the unfolding of the plots by agents the APC to use mercenaries from neighboring countries to precipitate crisis with the aim of scuttling the 2019 general election, having realized that they cannot win in a free, fair and credible election.

Now we understand the weight of the submission by the National Security Adviser (NSA) Maj. Gen. Babagana Mongunu (rtd) when he stated recently that; “unscrupulous elements are already mobilising merchants of violence, including armed bandits and terrorists to orchestrate violence during the elections in several states of the federation”.

Similarly, Nigerians can also decode the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, when he stated recently that; “there is also an international dimension to the evil plan. Some armed mercenaries from the Niger Republic have been contracted to attack top government functionaries, including state governors, across the North-west between now and the elections.”

Today, Nigerians need no further evidence of those planning evil against our nation.

Already, there apprehensions that miscreants who came from Niger Republic to President Buhari’s rally are being offered accommodation in our country by the APC to unleash violence immediately it is clear that President Buhari is losing in the February 16 presidential election.

On account of these, PDP demands an urgent and thorough investigation into the circumstances leading to the presence of politicians and thugs from Niger Republic at the APC presidential rally in Kano on Thursday.

The APC and the Buhari Presidency must immediately explain the roles being played by Issa Moussa, Governor of Zinder and his counterpart from Maradi, Zakiri Umar both of the Niger Republic, who were sighted decked in the attires and official logos of the APC, in our political affairs.

Our security agencies must immediately investigate and lay in the public domain the circumstances leading to their presence, which more or less confirms that the APC has lost all domestic credibility and has assumed a desperate mode.

The presence of the Niger Republic Governors at President Buhari’s rally signposts a direct assault on the credibility of the Presidential elections. This is particularly against the backdrop of INEC’s plans to allow Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in that country to vote in our election, a situation that opens the way for aliens to infiltrate as IDPs and participate in our elections.

Our apprehensions are accentuated by INEC’s recent mass creation of additional polling units which have not been properly designated and which may be deployed for the perpetuation of monumental electoral fraud. We note how Kano State, in 2015, delivered 1.9 million votes to the APC presidential candidate in circumstances devoid of transparency and credulity.

Moreover, the promise by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano state to deliver five million votes to Presidential Buhari in the 2019 elections is predicated on the unfettered opening of our international borders to foreign political interests.

What was the true purpose of the invitation of these foreigners to the APC rally in Kano on Thursday? What secret deals did APC leaders make with them at the expense of our national security?

It begs the question how a Government that vilified credible international bodies that genuinely advised on the need for a free and fair election, as interfering in our elections, would now be spending public resources rent political mercenaries from neighbouring countries.

We know that APC’s jettisoning of our territorial integrity and national security to hire crowds from Niger Republic is borne out of frustration over the recent successes and massive turn out of supporters at PDP rallies held in the North West.

The spontaneous and mammoth turnouts of supporters and admirers of the PDP as well as the people’s candidate, Atiku Abubakar, even in the APC’s supposed strongholds in the North West states of Kaduna, Jigawa, Katsina, Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi and Kano, has no doubt, discomfited the APC and its Presidential candidate.

The PDP holds that the 2019 general election is only for Nigerians. There is no way our citizens will allow foreigners to participate in our electoral process.

We therefore call on all Nigerians irrespective of creed, ethnicity and political affiliations to rise in total condemnation of this direct assault on our territorial integrity as a nation. Our citizens must henceforth be at alert and get prepared to defend the sovereignty of our nation, which President Buhari and the APC, in their desperation, are ready to trade away."

5 Things That will Make Your Long Distance Relationship Work.

5 Things That will Make Your Long Distance Relationship Work.

Thank God for the introduction of internet and technology in our present time, which now makes us connect hundred and even thousands of people worldwide. Gone are the days where hearing from your long-distance lover took months and necessitated a town crier or perhaps a horse or two just to say "hi" back. Long-distance relationships today is very much easy, with the use of Skype, email, texting, and Twitter e.t.c.

Love knows no distance. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. If you've ever been in a long-distance relationship, you know those sayings are pretty much bullsh*t.

That's because Long Distance Relationships are widely known to be the worst. Time-zone differences can make texting a nightmare, and Physical absence sucks. Plus, eventually you have to confront the fact that one of you will have to move to make the whole thing work.

To keep the distance from driving you apart, these set of tips I would provide here have been thoroughly searched for. Use these tips here to make the relationship work no matter the distance and to make the whole affair less torturous.

1. Get To Know Eachother

Normally, just like how people get into any relationship, you two should at least spend some time getting to know and understand each-other very well. For example, when talking, take note of those things your partner enjoys the most( let's say like hobbies or day-to-day activities) and do a little research on it so you have something more to discuss.

And knowing each other's preference will also help when you want to exchange presents, because gift exchange is just another way to communicate your feelings to each other over the long distance.

2. Avoid Talking Too Much

I don't mean here that talking to your partner often is wrong. It should actually be a priority but not your only priority. Do not overdose on talk-time. It is foolish to be overly Sticky and Possessive. You two don't really have to communicate 12 hours a day to keep the relationship going. Some may begin to reason that as to compensate for the distance, they need to do more calling and texting. This will certainly not make the relationship work out, and it might even make things worse. Soon you would get tired of Loving. You are only going to exhaust yourselves. It's more and really about teasing at the right moments and tugging at the right spot.

3. Being Honest and "Real" in your Communication

As communication is very important in keeping a long distance relationship, you must as well try as much as possible to make sure you are being honest and real when you communicate with your partner. In long distance relationship it's easier to hide your weakness, just make a good impression. Doing this will only make your distance relationship a strain in the neck.

Unless you both value transparency and honesty more than making a good impression, you will have a much more difficult time figuring out whether you and your partner are a good fit for each other and whether the long distance relationship will work out or not.

4. Visit Each-other Regularly

Try to make time to visit each other as often as possible or as often as your schedule permits. You both need to see each other in person at every opportunity. Make a regular visiting schedule or at least make plans for the next visit as soon as each one is ending. Face-to-face communication is just as important as having relationship satisfaction, commitment, and trust.

Smooth out travel logistics so they don't get in the way of your time together. Know where to meet at the airport or train station. Learn to travel with one bag or leave basics at your partner's home to save time at the airport.

Meet away from home sometimes, too. Visit a place together that is new to both of you or choose a place that is halfway between both of you.

5. Have Something you Aim for in Mind

“How long are we going to be apart?” “What about the future?” These are the questions you two need to ask yourselves. The truth is, no couple can be in a long distance relationship for forever. Eventually we all need to settle down.

People always say LDRs don’t work, but they can – as long as there is an end-game in mind. If you’re going to make it as as couple, you need something to work toward.

Without goals, you can’t go anywhere, but seeing the long-distance part as a process in a much larger project can keep you motivated to be together. So make a plan with each other. Do up a timeline, marking down the estimated times apart and times together, and draw an end goal.

Memorise:

“Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainty meats:”- Proverb 23:6

Bible Reading:

Genesis 25:28-34

28 And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.

29 And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint:

30 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.

31 And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.

32 And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?

33 And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.

34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.

Bible in One Year: Luke 12-13, Isaiah 29:15-30:7

Friday - Febuary 1, 2019 Open Heaven Message

In His infinite wisdom, God designed the human body to require food and water for sustenance. Being the Maker of all things, He is conscious of the fact that He created us with the basic need for food and drink, and He promised to provide these for us. As a child of God, you therefore need not to allow the anxiety of what to eat or drink overwhelm your heart in any way (Matthew 6:25-32).

Delicacies are expensive, mouth-watering meal received for kings, rulers, wealthy individuals and their companions. They are so temping because they are specially packaged to make them irresistible, and they typically have a lovely aroma, sumptuous appearance and fantastic taste. Although delicacies or dainties are not in themselves evil, they are often associated with evil because Satan and his agents tend to use them as a bait to lure innocent souls into developing an unhealthy appetite for them. In Proverbs 23:1-3, the wisdom of God teaches us not to desire the delicacies of leaders and wealthy people because they are more often than not deceitful meal.

The story of Daniel and his compatriots in Daniel 1:8-18 clearly shows that basic food and drink are sufficient and not inferior to exotic delicacies and wine in providing the energy and nutrition that our bodies need to function effectively. Psalm 141:4 also teaches us that eating the delicacies of leaders or rich people can lead to covetousness and lure us into participating in their evil acts. Consequently, children of God need to watch their appetite, knowing that God only promises us daily bread and not special delicacies, because He knows what is best for us (Luke 11:3). Let us therefore not develop a taste for delicacies or become addicted to them, so much so that their availability or lack therefore become a major determining factor in our lifestyle decisions, choice of association and general worldview. As a child of God, be satisfied with what you have, so that you can live in total obedience to God instead of being at the mercy of the rich and powerful. For this reason, Hebrews 13:5-6 says:
“5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”

The unhealthy appetite for delicacies and dainties has turned many Christians into sycophants and puppets, doing the bidding of wealthy and powerful leaders in order to keep up with certain levels of comfort. I pray that God will deliver anyone in this kind of situation today in Jesus’ Name.

Open Heaven 1 February 2019 Friday Prayer Point:

Father, please don’t let my life be controlled by the need for food or drink, and preserve my life and destiny from being destroyed by my appetite in Jesus’ Name.
