IS IT REALLY IMPORTANT TO DO BLOOD TEST BEFORE I MARRY AS A CHRISTIAN?
The issues of blood test before marriage as a Christian is an issue that has become a controversy in most sector of the body of Christ. There are basically two types of classes towards this issue.
The first class believes that since it is God that has brought the two people together, he will take control of whatever needs attention in them working together which may include their blood test also.
The second class believes that it is unreasonable to enroll into a frustrating future all in the name of love and "God said" when the medical test are there to guide us in our decision making when it comes to marrying.
Though Some Christians consider it an act of faithlessness and carnality to have a blood check (genotype/blood group or AID'S Virus), but I find that reason to be a careless and a short sighted one in this era and present age of the church. To assume that there is no need to bother checking if you two are compatible medically before diving into marriage because you are both born again and brought together by God. That is absolute display of Lack of Wisdom.
The love you think you have for each other and connection will not clean and erase your actions in the past, neither will love heal venereal disease or Aid's virus, it can't even change your blood group. AIDS IS IN THE CHURCH whether you believe it or not and if an AIDS victim gets born again, it does not remove the HIV Virus except he prays to God to be healed.
I once read about a story of a girl who got married as a virgin. She did all she could to live a life of purity. But that was not the case for the man she married. He lived a reckless and careless life before becoming born again and it was during those past deed he got infected with the incurable deadly HIV Virus.
Few months later after they got wedded without taking the blood or no blood test thing serious, she got infected with the virus and unfortunately for the girl she was already pregnant with a child. The husband got to sick and died of the virus. Then the sister later gave birth to that first child, though the child was looking fine but was already infected with the virus. The child could not live and died eventually as well as the sister who not long after all the situation also died because of the deadly virus that the husband passed to her and then to the child.
That was the end of a Big dream, the annihilation of a family that could have made a difference in our world. Can you see what faith without godly wisdom can cause? What gain does the sister had even for keeping herself until after marriage?
Why allow destinies to be wasted by religion. That someone is born again and tongue talking does not prevent you from insisting that you both go for medical test to ascertain your physical state of health. If for any reason at all, you should embrace medical science because of its agreement with God's purpose i.e restoration of good health.
Every child has a destiny to fulfill in this life and God has given you a part to play in making of a child. "WHY BRING A CHILD INTO THE WORLD TO SUFFER AND WHY FRUSTRATE YOURSELF? "
It is important for you as a Christian to do a blood test before marriage because that is wisdom and it reveals to you the true state of things so that you can now take the report to God in prayer by faith for divine intervention.
Several blood groups and their Compatibility
God can heal AIDS, God can change blood groups but discover the person first, then you can pray and here is a piece of advice, "PLEASE IF THE AIDS VIRUS OR BLOOD GROUP DOES NOT CHANGE, DON'T MARRY."
