Steps on HOW to Transfer all you Data to Your New Iphone 11

If you are one of the lucky ones who have just received the new iPhone 11, 11 Pro or Pro Max from Apple, i say congratulations!

No doubt you wanna try out your new whip iphone as soon as you open that box. But first you have to download all the apps and data from your old iPhone to your new one.

It's actually very simple – if your current phone has iOS 12.4 or higher, it's even easier than ever. (If your phone has an iOS version earlier, don't worry; just follow the instructions in the article we performed last March.)

The difference between now and then is that the process of moving your data used to be restoring an iCloud or iTunes backup. Now you don't have to worry about that backup (although it's always a good idea to back up your stuff). You can move your apps, data and ID directly to the new phone with what Apple calls iPhone migration.

Here's how.

Wireless connection

Start your new phone. You get a few first questions (such as which language you want to use) and then you are invited to transfer data from another phone, if you want.

Place your old telephone near your new one. Make sure that both telephones are connected (you do not want them to be without power during data transfer).

When the connection is established, your new iPhone screen displays a pattern and your old phone opens the camera and a blank circle appears in the center of the screen. You will be asked to hold your new iPhone against the camera of your old one so that the pattern is in the center of the circle.

You will then be invited to draw your attention to your new phone to complete the installation.
Enter your Apple ID when prompted; you may also be asked if you want to set Face ID or Touch ID.
There are several screens to go through before the transfer begins, including the usual terms and conditions, whether you want to share your location and your analyzes and whether you want to set FaceTime, iMessage and Siri.

After you have made all your choices, the transfer starts. The phone that I moved to in this test wasn't used much, so it only took about six minutes; a well-used iPhone with many apps and data on it will probably take much longer.
Log in to your new iPhone again and you're done!

Wired connection

An advantage of Apple's updated migration feature is that you can also use a cable to transfer the data. If you have particularly slow WiFi, a wired connection can make the transfer faster, although ironically, during my test, it has lengthened the download time from just under six minutes (using the wireless method) to nine minutes and 40 seconds. However, if you encounter problems with the wireless transfer, this can be a good alternative.

You need one for a wired connection Lightning to USB 3 camera adapter and a Lightning to USB cable.

Just as with the wireless method, you start your new phone and go through the first questions until you are invited to transfer data from another phone.
Place your old phone near your new one as before and make sure that both phones are connected.
Connect the Lightning to USB 3 camera adapter to your old telephone. Connect the Lightning to USB cable to your new phone. Connect the two cables with the adapter. Power the adapter through the Lightning port.

Then follow the same directions as above, including using the camera to find the pattern and answer all installation questions.

You know that the phones use the wired installation, because once the transfer starts, there will be a small "cable" between the two phone icons on the screen.
Whichever method you choose, enjoy your new iPhone.
